Description

this is for nakamicchi's secret santa group, #ss-friends!!! it's akanezumi's character, hiromi: [link]

i wanted a cozy indoor Christmas for this picture <333

the hair coloring is something i've seen in some pixel icons (including the one i have now!!). i tried to do it in "rita" but it didn't work. this is the second time i've done it, and i like the way it came out here!! ^___^ (though i think the scanner made it look slightly less neat eheh)

don't look at the hands...

don't look at the wallpaper...

YOU LOOKED DIDN'T YOU XD well, i did actually do the pose in real life, myself. the hands really are kindasorta supposed to look like that... (but not quite >___< ) and the wallpaper... i tried more painting instead of marker!! but i'm so used to marker. i'm not as used to panting so yeah that's why it's not the best! but i like (acrylic) painting, it's fun ^___^

oh btw, i've drawn hiromi before, in a sketch. [link] lol i drew her from the exact same angle both times XDDD idk why...

forgot when i started this but i finished Christmas eve *___*

Wow her hair is amazing and I love all the detail work on her sweater and on the wall behind her. There is a lot going on but you kept the colors a bit more simple so it all balances out very well! You have a very unique style that one doe snot often come by in dA, which I think is wonderful! You really make it your own :) Pieces by you are easily distinguished. The eyes are very big and captivating, I just love them! The designs on the wallpaper are really cool, by the way! They have this professionally casual look to them...

The coloring looks a tad bit messy, it would be nice to see it a bit more smooth and to add in some more intense shading. Overall, a really great piece!
